MY FUTURE JOB.

As I mentioned in my previous blog, I am currently studying Forest Engineering and within the job possibilities that studying this gives me, I hope to be able to work in a forest nursery surrounded by all kinds of people who are contributing to the conservation of nature.

As I mentioned before, I don't like the idea of being behind a desk all my life and I think that working in a nursery combines a bit of both worlds of forestry, which is field work and research from an office. Maybe my job doesn't allow me to visit many places outside of Chile, but I don't really care about them. I am happy to travel around Chile and see all the wonders it has to offer. Money is another subject that does not interest me much either, if I wanted to earn large amounts of money I would have studied something else (as an accountant or auditor or economy xD), I am satisfied with the satisfaction of knowing that I am being a contribution both to the ecosystem and to future generations (I am also satisfied not having a boring office job).

I hope to pursue a specialization in conservation with a focus on native species, and I also hope to conduct research on the Chilean Palm (a species that has caught my attention since I started my degree) before or after I graduate.

  1. There's a professor in Antumapu that knows a lot about the chilean palm, he taught me even the existence of it hahaha. You can travel a work if you want, and if you're good at what you do =)
